Looking for a sport that’s a little different—and a lot of fun? Curling might be just the thing!
Curling is an Olympic sport played on specially prepared ice, where players slide 40-pound granite stones toward a target while teammates sweep to influence speed and direction. It may look simple, but curling combines strategy like chess, physical effort, balance, teamwork, and focus. Best of all—anyone can learn to curl, no matter their athletic background.
Right here in Anderson, Circle City Curling Club is excited to offer a Youth Curling Program for ages 12–18, designed to introduce young athletes to the sport while building skills, confidence, and friendships. Whether your child is brand new to sports or already competitive, curling offers a unique opportunity to grow, stay active, and have fun. And who knows—future national champions and even Olympians have to start somewhere!
Program Structure
The Circle City Curling Youth Program is led by Geoff Randolph, Todd Shelton, and Jim Gangnon, all experienced educators who are passionate about teaching and working with youth.
