Given that our ice crew must arrive on site 90 minutes early and some of them travel up to an hour to the club, the decision to cancel curling will be made 2-1/2 to 3 hours prior to draw time. An email will be sent to all league and/or event participants and will also be posted here.
In the event of winter weather through the remainder of the season, please check your email and/or the website prior to heading to the club.
Want to give curling a try? Our Learn to Curl Leagues and Clinics are the best way to be introduced to the sport of curling at Circle City Curling Club!
Free Open House (Curling on the Canal)
This open house has been set up for the Curling on the Canal league participants, but all are welcome.
You've had a bit of a taste of the game from playing on the Curling on the Canal's synthetic ice, now come give the real thing a try and experience what it is like to deliver a 42 lb. stone down a 145 foot sheet of ice! Please feel free to bring along friends or family. You will have a chance to throw a stone or two, and maybe watch a match in progress.
A note about children: We do not have an age limit per-se, however we find that children under the age of 11 or 12 do not have the physical strength to be able to deliver a 42 pound curling rock down a 145 foot sheet of ice. In addition, we do require that all participants wear rubber safety grippers (which we provide) on the ice. The smallest size of these grippers fits about a womens size 6-6 1/2 (which equates approximately to a child's size 4-4 1/2). If a child cannot fit into the smallest pair of grippers, they will be unable to participate.
- Location: 1725 W 53rd Street, Unit 3A, Anderson, IN 46013
- Please bring a pair of CLEAN sneakers to change into (we do not allow shoes worn in from the street). You will be given a pair of grippers to wear over your shoes. Dress warmly, in layers, as it is quite cool in our facility.
