The time for the annual election of the Board of Directors is quickly approaching. Seven of the nine positions will be open for election this year. Two of the current board members (Bruce Johnson and Andrew Sand) will stay on as they each have two years left in their terms. Four of the remaining current board members (Jim Puckering, Keith Hammer, Dennis Martin, and Sharon Martin) have declared their intention to re-run.
The Board encourages all members to seriously consider running to serve as a member of the Board of Directors. The upcoming year will be an important one as we transition from an arena club that rented ice once a week to a dedicated-ice club with daily operations and significant assets to manage. Once elected, the Board of Directors will select the four Officer positions (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary) from within their ranks. Of the seven open positions, three will be for a 3-year term, one will be for a 2-year term, and three will be for a 1-year term. Following the election, the new Board will determine which newly elected Directors will serve in each term class. Please see below for the "Job Description" of a board member.
The nomination process and election will be administered by Andrew Sand. Any member wishing to run for a Board position should send a brief bio including anything you would like to share with the membership along with a photo of yourself to Andrew at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
Nominations must be received by May 29th, 2022. Voting will take place electronically from June 1st-15th, 2022. All members who paid their fees for the 2021-22 season will be eligible to stand for election and to vote. Election results will be posted immediately following the election period and the new Board will take office July 1, 2022.
Please watch for an email between May 29th and Jun 1st with the ballot.
