Curling Leagues

Ready to get on the ice? Circle City Curling Club offers leagues for a wide range of experience levels—from brand-new curlers continuing on from Learn to Curl to experienced players looking for competitive play.

Most leagues are open to all members, and you don't need to have a team to participate. Register as an individual and our League Commissioner will place you on a team.

Find the Right League for You

Open Leagues

Best for: Everyone

Our Open Leagues are just that—open to all club members, regardless of experience or gender. They're a great way to curl regularly, meet other members, and enjoy some friendly competition.

Sign up with a team or register individually and we'll place you on one.

Over/Under League

Best for: Newer curlers who want to learn alongside experienced members

The Over/Under League is designed to bring newer and experienced club members together. Each team includes two newer curlers and two more experienced curlers, giving everyone the opportunity to learn from one another while enjoying regular game play.

Players rotate positions throughout the session, so newer curlers get experience playing every part of the game—including Skip and Vice.

Teams consist of:

  • Two Under players with 2 years or less of curling experience
  • Two Over players with 3 years or more of curling experience

If you've recently completed Learn to Curl, this is a great next step.

5 & Under League

Best for: Developing curlers with five or fewer years of experience

Our 5 & Under League gives newer curlers the opportunity to gain game experience alongside others who are still developing their skills.

It's an especially good transition into regular league play if you're ready to play more games but would feel more comfortable starting with curlers of similar experience.

An experienced club member will be available to answer questions and provide support as needed.

Competitive League

Best for: Experienced curlers looking for more challenging play

The Competitive League is geared toward experienced players who want a higher level of competition. There is no formal experience requirement, but registration is by team rather than individually.

Don't have a team but interested in competitive play? Contact our League Commissioner at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We may be able to help connect you with other interested players.

Draw times may vary based on registration. With seven or fewer teams, games will be played at 7:00 PM. With eight or more teams, the league will use 6:30 PM and 8:45 PM draws, and teams may occasionally play the later draw.

Doubles League

Best for: Anyone looking to try a different style of curling

Doubles is a faster-paced version of curling played with two-person teams and slightly different rules. Our Doubles League is open format, so teammates do not need to be one male and one female. Any two curlers may form a team.

Never played doubles before? No problem. No doubles experience is required, and instruction will be provided.

League Fees & Multi-League Discount

Standard 8-week evening and weekend leagues are $190 per session.

Wednesday Daytime and Doubles leagues are $120 per session.

The Friday Over/Under league cost $100 per session.

Want to curl more than once a week? Members receive $70 off the second and each additional eligible league within the same session. The multi-league discount does not apply to Wednesday Daytime, Doubles or  Friday Over/Under since they are already discounted.

Teams & Individual Registration

You don't need to have a team to join a league.

For all leagues except Competitive, you may register:

  • As an individual and have the League Commissioner place you on a team, or
  • As part of a team you've formed yourself.

Looking for teammates? Members are also encouraged to connect through the club Facebook group and Discord channel.

Interested in playing on an all-female team? While we do not currently offer a separate women's league, you can indicate that preference during registration.

League Format

Most leagues are capped at 28 players or seven teams.

Each team is guaranteed six games and one bye during an eight-week session. The top six teams will play during the final week in a playoff.

League formats may be adjusted when registration numbers require it.
